Outside the gym, Danique is completing her master’s degree in Clinical Neuropsychology, finding balance between her passion for sports and her ambition to help people on a mental level as well. Erik Woning
Coach
Bio:
Erik has been training at Wildhearts for over ten years, starting back when the gym was still called 640 and he survived his very first “card game WOD.” What began as a challenge alongside running and survival bootcamp soon turned into a true passion. For Erik, CrossFit is the perfect way to clear his head after a busy workday: switch off and just go. As a coach, Erik is known for his eye for detail and his down-to-earth, practical tips that help every athlete move a little smarter and more efficiently. He enjoys longer workouts where endurance counts, less explosive, more diesel locomotive. Outside the gym, Erik works as an innovation manager in education, loves cooking, traveling with his partner Ana, and enjoying everything Rotterdam has to offer, both culinary and cultural. Favorite workouts: anything with running, wall balls, toes-to-bar, double unders, pistol squats, and (lately) bar muscle-ups. His motto: “This rep isn’t too bad, so the next one will be fine too.”
